Jesus called Dick home and he is free of all earthly bounds. He fought a long, courageous battle with lung disease. A humble and kind man, his joy came from the love of family and friends. He was a great storyteller and loved music. His amazing memory for tiny details and dates from long ago astounded us. Dick lived a modest life enjoying every moment his own way. Jesus called Dick home and he is free of all earthly bounds. He fought a long, courageous battle with lung disease. A humble and kind man, his joy came from the love of family and friends. He was a great storyteller and loved music. His amazing memory for tiny details and dates from long ago astounded us. Dick lived a modest life enjoying every moment his own way. He graduated from Edison High and was looking forward to his 50th class reunion. He was a long time employee of Brede Inc. and of Honeywell/Alliant Tech. He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard & Evelyn Cotton. He is loved and will be missed by his brothers and sisters, Colleen (Mac) Maguire, Adrienne (Keith) Bystedt, Bernadette (Norm) Botoshe, Maurice (Patricia) Cotton, Judith (Kelly) Devitt, and Jeffrey (MaryBeth) Cotton; special cousin, Marlyse (Dick) Bauch; nieces & nephews, Desiree Sennie, Erin Maguire, Tracy (Dennis) Nelson, Justin and Jessica Botoshe, Matthew (Erin) Cotton, Michelle (Paul) Koob, Paul (Stephanie) Devitt, Emma (Micheal) Figgins, Adam Devitt, Harrison and Austin Cotton; grand-nephews and nieces; treasured friends, Rob Hyllestad, and Dave & Kristi Rogstad; many more aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Celebration of his life will be held Friday, September 15th at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Sunset Funeral Home & Cemetery 2250 St. Anthony Blvd. NE Minneapolis, MN.
